Hello all,
Its me again, still battling with my 1994 940 Turbo wagon. It now will not start at all. No firing at the plugs. No codes set in the ignition ECU. Replaced the power stage, still no spark, but its dumping fuel. Need to know some things. Where does the RPM sensor send its pulses? Can these be checked with a DVOM? Are they resistance or a small voltage? What other sensors/relays feed information to the ignition ECU. I have 12 volts at the coil. I have 12 volts at the power stage. I need a helper to crank the engine to look for the varying 2 volts at the power stage plug. + side of coil should also pulse? At this point I'm thinking of substituting my 1990 ignition ECU into the 940, will this work, or make things worse?? What does the black box on the firewall do? Its mounted right in the center with a ground strap on it...Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks...
