I went to the salvage yard that regularly get in alot of Volvo sedans & wagons
like my '86 sedan for parts when I need them. This morning I took only a multi-screwdriver, a 10mm socket, extension and handle to get one particular item. Well, they just happened not to have what I wanted, which is rare, but as I was getting ready to leave, I looked into the engine bay of a white '88 sedan I saw something I'd never seen before and got an excited lump in my throat. A pair of strut to firewall braces. I could have kicked myself for not having the 13mm socket I needed, but as it turned out a guy 3 cars down was busy getting something off an old BMW, so I asked him if I might borrow his socket & handle for a few minutes. The braces are now in my car and except for new shocks all around, my suspension upgrades are complete. Last year I found wagon springs and 2 months ago I got a set of upgraded swaybars. My next upgrade is the E code headlights.
This has been a good day......
Hope everyone else has a good one too.
