%$^$#$%%@@ I've stumbled over these old radiators for the last time, and now I need to make a decison. It's about the 4 old "honeycomb" pattern radiators I just can't bring myself to toss, just because they leak! Does anyone know of a place, or a way to repair these types of radiator cores? I think that they look absolutely "right" for the older cars, but am told that the cores are NLA, and the last man who knew how to fix one died back in 1958! Some of mine are pretty shot, so I'm not too fixated on keeping those, but a few have only a tiny pinhole, or two. I even trust them around town, but it's a long term solution I'm seeking, not a "pour in our Magic Powder", or even the old Depression era, Dust Bowl solution of throwing in a handfull of dried oatmeal.
Suggestion; go and (re)read John Steinbecks description, in The Grapes Of Wrath, of those folks nursing their old crates across the deserts to California. THAT's what I think of when I'm tempted to whine about always having to tinker with my vintage cars!!
