1988 Volvo 240 Questions/Problems needing solutions 200 1988

I bought a 240DL 88' in the last 3 months
and i want to keep this running through 300,000kms
so.. i have some problems causing me headaches

1) choking/shaking on (cold starts only) the car starts but shakes and chokes dont know why...

I've changed plugs, plug wires, cap and rotor

2) hinges - i have hinges from the junk yard cause i have a broken hinge on the passenger side door and it swings wide open when someone opens it
anyone have instructions to replace?
is it easy?
please give me a step by step process

3) THE DAM RUBBER SOUND... anyone can figure this out..
everytime i go over bumps or.. any little curb.. it rubs rubber giving a irritating.. UrRRR urggg or something..

i replaced the front swaybar bushings.. so i have no idea what it is.. my mechanic says its the other rubber around the front? ideas?

4) headlight switch.. when i fool around with the headlight switching it from the off position to the on position quickly twice.. it cuts the motor.. strange..

5) seats - my seats have been angled inwards to the middle any ideas of fixing them and how?

6) any suggestions of what to do.. when i hit 150,000kms? im doing a timing belt replacement and the 2 front seals crank and cam..

7) steering - the steering feels very loose when turning left or right..
ive heard that you can have thicker sway bars or something to make it feel better
but im a novice.. please give me a further detail on this..

thanks for any advice giveN :)
