M-46 1989 Conversion? 200

By now I've accumulated 5 brown 240s, including 4 wagons...
Just got a 1989 w/blown head in pretty good shape otherwise. No rust, power windows.
The `76 2 door is completely corroded, but has a good m-46.
Began thinking why not pull the engine/tranny and swap in a good mill mated to the m-46 from the `76
Anyone put an m-46 into a later year 240?
