Fix for Power Windows Binding? 200 1992

HI all,

Last night while my wagon and I slept, some punk smashed my front passenger window in and stole my wallet which I foolishly left inside. It happened in my driveway at home no less. I live in a small Canadian town and I never in a million years would have thought this would happen here. This certainly ain't NYC!

Anyway, I was able to locate a replacement at a local wreckers. It's out of a 1990 wagon. My 240 is a 1992. Are there any compatibility issues with the different years for fit etc? I've actually already installed the window and it appears to fit ok, but when I raise and lower the window (power) it's not at all smooth, and moves a lot slower than before. It really slows down half way down/up and you can hear the power window motor struggling. Incidentally, my driver's side window has always done the same thing since I bought the car used last year and I always wanted to fix it. Now both sides do it. So is this what is meant by binding? And what is the fix for this? Do I just bend the regulator arms for a better angle, or do I throw grease in there? As far as I can tell I've installed the window properly. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
