I know , I know, some of y'all say it's just a marketing gimmick, and it probably is. At first I was gonna get the 5qt jug of regular Valvoline 10W-40 for around $10 something (what I used in my last oil change). But then next to it I saw the 5qt jug of the MaxLife and read the back. It said something about containing more cleaning agents and reconditioning seals to prevent leaks, and the fact that it's for engines over 75k kinda got me sold and made me just go ahead and spend the extra $2+ for it. But then I figure the 240 only holds 4qts of oil, so I decided to get 4 individual qts and save about a buck something. Besides, having four bottles will be much easier to keep tab of how much oil will be going in as opposed to using the 5qt jug and guessing when to stop after pouring in 4qts. But, as I was leaving the auto section, I saw Valvoline MaxLife boxes each containing five individual qts of motor oil for a little over $10! Yay! It was pretty much the same price as a 5qt jug of regular Valvoline.
So anyway, any opinions on this MaxLife thing? It seems to cost more than the regular Valvoline oil.
