I see this is a common problem from reading other entries. I'm chugging along fat, dumb and happy and the engine hesitates; seems to coast then picks up again. Sometimes I think it will quit altogether but never does. I don't even get flashing dash lights or check engine light.

This occured once in a blue moon but now occurs on every trip. I see where people diconnect the AMM and others replace the fuel pump relay. And yet others R&R the ECU. Where do I start? I hate shotgunning parts because it is expensive. How do I begin troubleshooting? Thanks in advance.
