Smelling engine coolant inside the car 140-160

Hello again,

I just noticed a distinct engine coolant smell inside my 164. Last week I noticed there was some coolant sitting near the thermostat area and then yesterday, my car was parked at a slight angle, leaning towards the drivers side, and when I opened the door, there was a small puddle of coolant that had channeled down onto the ground. It seems that when the car is parked level this problem does not exist. Any ideas? I thought I heard something once about something about ready to go wrong when you can smell the coolant through the vents.

One more thing, I need a new kickdown cable for an auto tranny. The local Volvo store tells me $350 parts and labor. Seemed kind of excessive to me. How much is this part usually? Is it something one can do easily?

Thanks in advance...again
