I recently purchased a 1987 760GLE Intercooled Turbo. The car runs and drive perfectly. There are no problems with acceleration, warm starting, or idle. However, everytime I start the car after setting for any amount of time it requires an intial crank of the starter (activates the fuel pump) and then a second one to start the car. On my 240's I simply buy a new fuel pump check valve and the problem is gone. But I was told that Turbo cars, especially intercooled ones do not have a check valve at the fuel pump and rely on the pressure regulator to keep the injection system charged. I have been under the car and it looks like there is no check valve installed. Just seems weird to me. Any thoughts out there???
