high oil temps, recent post, follow up 200


my post mentioned my 86 245 was having higher oil temps (from the gauge) & possible higher water temps (water gauge not showing hot).

as previously suggested, i checked the grounding for the 3-n-row gauges in the dash and found the ground wire was not connected--i must have forgotten to fasten the ground the last time i worked behind the dash.

resecured the ground and the everything back to normal temps. this time i jumped pins 1 & 3 on the comp board for accurate water temp reading

i generally check the cars before i post, but i didn't check thoroughly enough this time.

glad to know it was a simple solution this time and thanks for the replies.
