Driving home from work the other night (around freezing outside) my car stalled three times on deceleration. I have a weber downdraft carb in my 142 that runs really rough for about 30 seconds upon start-up, but usually works ok when warm. Any thoughts on what may be causing the stall. I am thinking it might have something to do with the coolant line passing through the intake, but this is just a guess. My second question is in regards to sound deadening materials for the floorboards in my car. I have altered the tranny tunnel to adapt a short shifter from a later model and custom made a cover for the hole that was cut. Right now the car is extremely loud (a great deal of transmission noise). If anybody out there has done the same job, please let me know how they have dealt with the noise issue.
Thanks jr142 for the lead on the gabriel shocks, which have so far been an improvement over the kyb GR2's.
