Ok,
So The car has been awesome except for a wet weather stall/no start problem that first happened about a year ago. I consulted the 7/9 FAQ at that time and put duct tape around the aft hood seal area suspecting something under the hood getting wet. That fixed it until a few weeks ago when it started getting wet in New England. It was a wet day and the car started but kept stalling. It eventually dried out, from the heat of the engine I think, and we had some dry weather, so the car ran great, and I thought I better re-duct tape that area. Today she came back to New Haven on the train from visiting her sister for 2 days in NY and it wouldn't start. Those 2 days were constant rain in New Haven. I went down there, kept cranking, and finally it started for about 5 minutes where it skipped and missed. If I didn't keep the RPM up it seemed like it would die. Well, I wasn't paying attention, let the RPM drop and it died. I could not restart. AAA towed it back home.
So now it's still raining in Hartford and it won't start and all I really want to know is, what the freak gets wet from a bad hood seal on these engines that causes no start/stall problems.
Just to restate. I have never had a starting/running problem on this car except when it rains. What the hell is getting wet and causing the issue?
