Rougher idle at wamer, ambient temperatures 200 1990

My 1990 240 sedan, AT, idles more smoothly when the weather is colder compared to warmer, ambient temperatures. It has always been so. Complete tuneups including replacing all vacuum lines, throttle body cleaning, wires, plugs, rotor and cap ameliorate this but do not eliminate it. A new ECU did not effect this either. Does anyone have any ideas?
