Stuck Break Piston! OH NO!

i'm replacing the rear pads on my 89 780 and I got the first side off without a hitch but i can't get the piston to push back in. I'm using a regular hand crank C clamp but there's not a lot of room there. Any suggestions on how people have gotten them unstuck before? I usually put a board over the piston as well and the clamp shattered the board.

Thanks,

Brian
