Fuel In Oil 200 1979

Does anyone know if bad injectors on a K-Jetronic mechanical injection system can cause the vehicle to smell flooded and have fuel in the oil? Is there any other way fuel could enter the crankcase? I am Volvo ignorant and still trying to learn how to get this thing running! Any ideas would be great! I should add that the car won't start, but it does want to sometimes.
