1974 144 fuel distributor question 140-160 1974

I got this email from a woman I know that has a really nice 1974 144 that was given to her. She can't afford much in the way of repairs but I thought I'd post her message here for some advice from the resident experts:

hello again,
i have a long shot question for you! you wouldn't happen to have a good fuel
distributor for a '74 140 lying around, or know of someone who might, would
you? apparently it has to be from that specific year, they aren't
interchangeable with other years. mine crapped out and my car has been at voltech for two weeks now!! mostly because they can't find a replacement that is in good shape. i was told my other options are switching to a carb system, or getting a new distributor
which is in the $800+ range, two things i cannot afford to do right now.
they've found two used ones in town so far, but both were in worse shape
than the one i had, so now they are on to a nationwide online search. i am
keepign the faith, but starting to get a little worried that they aren't
going to find one!

Let me know what you guys think, if she doesn't fix it I'll probably wind up bringing it home...
