'89 240 wagon engine shake 200

My daughter's wagon recently developed a violent engine shake, to the point of stalling. I have replaced the motor mounts(one was broken) and checked the timing but it still will not start. When the engine does catch, it is only enough to do the "shake" and stall again. Any suggestions?
