trouble starting in warm weather 200

My 88 245 does not like to start when it's warm outside. It does start, but much less happily than when the air is cool. It does not seem related to humidity. I'm describing situations where the engine is cold; when I have been driving it, it seems to start fine.

Searching the archive yielded advice to clean the throttle body (is that a DIY job for an amateur?), and some discussion about fuel injectors.

I welcome any insight. Thank you.
