I posted the question about changing over to synthic oil. Allso I had a question about the flame trap. So I did the test of the clogged box under the intake, and the oil still seeping out of the filler cap.

First I checked the hoses from the flame trap and they were clear. I thought.

Second I took some old fuel line and stuck it in the box and blew threw it. Semmed to be clear I saw smoak comming out of the filler opening. The engine was still hot from the ride home from work.

Third, and I think I found the problem, was I took the small hose from the flame trap off the intake and saw the brass nipple was clogged. Im guessing this was my problem. i took the fitting off and cleaned it out with old ladies bobbie pins. funny she didnt even complain!

Do you all think this could have been the origin of the small leak at the filler cap? Thanks Vince
