old blue 200

well i aint been here in a while, place looks different, i like it.
old blue 84 240 now has 205k miles on her and stranded me the other day!!
well cant complain, we bought it 1998 for $600 cause some hot shot foriegn car repair shop couldnt figure out what was wrong after CHANGING ALL THE PARTS they could for $1000!!! guy took it to auction and i wound up with it. $2.00 piece of rubber hose in the gas tank...CURED ALL WOES!!!
anyhow last couple weeks its been runnin funny...starts good idles good runs decent but no power when you step on it...so i went and bought a fuel filter the other day and never got home. it died...tried to start it and it makin wierd noises... so i quit and got it towed home today, wne right for the timming belt cover...YEP i figured broken belt....but after 22 years and 205k miles the TIMMING TENSONER BEARING DISINTAGRATED!!!! yep....$44 for the new tensoner, $17 new timming belt....and we can live again with these $3 a gal gas prices........oh any one want a 75 164E cheap? check out post under the 160 series....
