I've got a 1972 142 with a d-jet B20f. On my way home from work the other day my engine cut out and would not restart (thank god for AAA). Once home I figured out that the check valve on my fuel pump was not working correctly. It must have got misalligned or something. I didn't find any obstruction and pushing the small rubber ball up and releasing it fixed it. I would like to get a new check valve but cannot find one listed for a d-jet. There are some listings for k-jet (even in years that supposedly the k-jet was not installed) but none that I can find for d-jet. I only search for my make, model and year. Is there another check valve that will work? does the d and k jet differ for the check valve? should I search for a different model and year? Where can I get one. While I'm here Does anyone have the small board on a fuel sender unit that has the wire wrapped around it that sends the signal to the gas gauge? The wire broke on mine and now I have no fuel gauge. Or does anyone have a unit that they would part with?
Thanks and good eats
