Low idle speed 140-160

This is a new thread to thank eveyone for the suggestions and to relate what happened. Thanks for all the suggestions. All very helpful and the low idle with warm engine problem appears to be resolved.

I decided to go back over all sensor connections, grounds etc. Turns out wire 14 on the throttle position switch plug was broken right in the plug so there was intermittent connection. I didnt get the 20 clicks(or any clicks) as the throttle is rotated. A little resoldering fixed that one. Also, plugs had lots of carbon deposits but hardly worn. Gave them a good cleaning. Also replaced the coil. The spark seemed weak. Not certain, but for $ 35 why not. Does anyone have a source for a new throttle position switch plug with pigtails.

Also, I noticed that the wacky tach readings seemed mostly to coincide with the voltmeter needle dropping to 8 volts. These are after market gauges installed by me and wired to a secondary fuse box. Only the fuse connection point is common to these and a couple of other gauges. A little fuse contact cleaning seems to have resolved this one. Voltmeter reads 13 volts and tach works smoothly.

Now we will see if it all stays that way. Thanks again for all the input.
