I noticed that the power driver's seat on my 95 965 wouldn't go forward or back. you could hear the motor try to engage and stop right away. My first ssupicion was that something had it jammed.
I used the FAQs for ideas and got the seat apart. I found that one side was further back and manually got the two sides equal. However, as I was figuring out how to get the seat out, one function after the other ceased to work. I had unplugged most of the plugs from the control module (computer) and tried to jumper power to the motors to no avail.
I have the seat back in, but none of the power functions work. The fuse is good. Might the computer need a reboot? Is this something I can do? How about an indy shop? The dealer would be the last resort.
Is there any chance I could convert the seat to manual operation by using the seat base from a 7 series car. How about sbstituting the control module and switches from a passenger seat and going without the memory functions?
I'm open to suggestions
