Poor Cold Idle Fix 900 1993

Hi everyone,
Yes, I have read the 700/900 FAQ and saw an entry about the "Poor Cold Idle: B230F/T ECU E-Prom Needs Update." I'm pretty sure my '93 940 Non-Turbo Wagon has this issue. When starting the car cold, the engine shakes, a lot and the tachometer bounces up and down. When you attempt to move the car before letting it warm up it wants to quit badly, sputtering in and out, although it has never once quit. After around 30/45 seconds of it bouncing up and down it is fine. If I give it a little gas as well it corrects itself a bit faster.
My question is, is this something as simple as bringing it to the local Volvo Dealer/Repair shop? I'm a little confused as to whether this is a do it yourself thing or not. Advice would be appreciated!

Thanks.
