The wiper linkage behind the dash on my '93 245 makes a -lot- of noise when the wipers are on: mainly a "clunking" type of noise each time they reverse direction; like eveything is loose. When I first got the car I looked behind there and tried adjusting the nuts at the end of the arms a little in both directions figuring it might take up the slack in the cables and quiet things down. It didn't seem to do much. When I lift the wiper arms off the glass and run them they are nice and quiet. I don't expect them to be noiseless, but they make a lot of racket back there and I don't remember the ones on my '90 245 making this much noise. If there's no adjustment I'll just live with it because removing the works back there looks like a complete nightmare. Thanks!!
