My buddy has a 90 Volvo 740 GL 189k 2.3 liter (non turbo)
Every time he starts the car it idles really low at 600 rpms
and slowly goes up to 900 rpms. What would cause this? Also
he has been having trouble starting the car when warm. Sometimes
it takes ten min to start. The vacuume intake tube was caked with
sticky oil dibree and he cleaned the outer part of the throttle plate.
Give me some ideas what needs to be done next. Thanks Bricksters!
