Cement for Repairing Plastic Door Pockets in 240 Series and Recommendations for Repair 200

Does anyone know a good cement to use to repair the plastic door pocket panels in 240's when they break and how best to repair them. Is plexiglass backing behind the original plastic a good way to reinforce it?
