89 240.fuel pump relay getting very hot..is this indicative of a failing fuel pump? 200

this car has a problem ;it dies at various times and now after feeling the relay and comparing it to my other 89 ;the one that never stalls ;the relay is not even warm...any ideas?,,,kris
