Okay, just went through this on our 90 244 when the odo quit and the speedo still worked, replace gear problem solved. Well, not so lucky this time on the 92 245 with 236K on it, gears are perfect, speedo works, odo dead and there are no other electrical issues in the car. The drive gears for the tripometer and odometer move smoothly and the digits increment normally while manually moving the gears.
I also did a bit of measuring and found an open coil in the ODO drive motor. So here are the obvious questions:
1: Where do I get a new odo motor?
2: Anyone have a 92 or 93 odo/speedo assembly for sale out there?
