Hey Guys,
I want to replace the upper strut mount bearings in my '88 740.The current bearings have a cage with only 16 balls in them but room for 32---every other hole is empty. I've read that some bearings have no cage and are simply filled with loose balls and that bearings do come with various amounts of balls with cages. Calls to dealer thirty bucks each] and other suppliers[ as low as 18 bucks each] were fruitless as they couldn't or wouldn't tell me how their bearings were constructed. Can anyone tell me whose aftermarket bearings are best or what the dealers are selling for their thirty clams.
