Tranmission swap and rear axles 140-160

I've read the postings on the swap from the BW35 to M40/41 and the only thing I see missing is any reference to the rear axle. I know at least for my 1970 there are two different rear ends and in '73 there are 3. Does anyone know what rear ends mated up to what transmissions and in what cars and years? I've got a '70 145 that was originally a 4spd and I'm in the process of putting in an M41, so no need to play with the rear end, but in my '71 145, it's an auto w/ the BW35, and I'm wondering what the rear end's ratio is. Even on Bram's site, he doesn't really touch the rear axle issue, which makes me think there's not much difference in the rear ends.
I also just want to make sure that the '73 brake/clutch pedal box IS NOT compatible w/ the older style 140's. I haven't really had a look at the late model 140's setup, but have been told it's not compatible.
By the way, could there possibly be any more bolts/nuts holding the brake/clutch pedal box in??!!!! Removing that was sure fun!!!!
