Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I just got a couple 50 meter rolls of some nice plush lined door aperture seal (windlace) in from Europe. I've offered shares in the rolls to the people on the 1800 Yahoo group and I thought I'd also offer it to people on this forum.
A couple years ago I brought in a two rolls of some similar stuff and sold pretty much all of it to people on the Yahoo list and a few from this forum. I offered it to people with either unfinished or finished (mitered) ends. Almost everyone elected to have me miter the ends for them. As far as I know everyone was real happy with the product and the mitering work I did for them. You can try to miter this stuff yourself but it's not an easy thing to do and make a good job of it. I have a lot of experience at mitering this type of seal and am very good at it.
This is not the exact same stuff I brought in before, that stuff's no longer available. This stuff is almost as nice and is the nicest quality stuff you can get anywhere these days (as far as I know).
If anyone's interested in getting some for their car(s) here are the prices. This is for enough seal to do both door openings:
P/S/E Coupes:
$127.50 USD (non-mitered)
$137.50 USD (mitred)
ES Wagons:
$130.00 (non-mitered)
$135.00 (one end mitred only)
I would offer them mitered at both ends for the ES as well but I don't have access to one to do some measuring on so I don't know the exact length to cut the pieces to. I can at least miter one end of each piece and cut the piece a little long so you can cut and miter it to the right length. I will give you tips on how to do a decent job of mitering the unfinished end.
I'll try and post a link to a couple of pics of what this seal looks like so you can see what it looks like and what the quality is like. For those of you who are also on the Yahoo list group you will soon be able to view the pics by going into in my Weatherstripping+ folder in the group's Files section.
It would be best if you were to buy it directly from me but I will also be putting some up on eBay in the next week or so you'll be able to buy it through eBay as well.
Thanks,
Roger
