oil leakage through Fill hole of Differential cover 200

I recently changed rear differential oil on my 1990 240 DL.I may have overfilled it a little as car was parked on a gently sloping pavement.Now I see that oil leaks (may be one drop a day) from the Fill Plug . How much I should tighten that plug. it is the kind of plug which can just thread through the differential cover. At this point still 2-3 threads are visible.
What should I do .Should I try high temp thread locker..
