Replaced Struts and Shocks 200

My 1993 240 Classic Wagon failed inspection for a leaking strut, so I replaced struts and shocks all around with HD Bilsteins. The PO of this vehicle kept meticulous records, and nowhere can I find any indication that the struts had been replaced before. The rear shocks were renewed at 119K miles. The car is now at 155K miles. I'm surprised the struts (Volvo originals) lasted this long. What's been your experience? BTW, I found that the Bilstein cartridges are a really tight fit in the strut tube. After forcing one in part way, I had one hell of a time pulling it out again. After I removed the labels and greased them up thoroughly they went in, but it still took a bit of force. So, if you are going to do this job, take the labels off first, because if you force the cartidges in with the labels on, I'm afraid you'll never get them out again.
