Radio installation affects lights 700 1990

Has anybody ever heard of a radio installation affecting headlights and blinkers. My son just installed a radio in his 1990 760 sedan. After installation, the right hand headlight and directional/corner light are not working properly. He obviously has the wiring hooked up wrong.
