Hi fellas. My long term project for my soon to be 16 year old daughter has taken a reversal. After replacing the "environmentally friendly" but rotten wiring under the hood of this '83 245GL I found problems under the dash with several wires coming from the bulb failure relay and from the headlight switch literally melted together with other neighboring wires. I took the dash out. Whoa nellie, I wish I could do that over with a digital camera and lots of labels. The failure relay was melted and deformed as was the connector plug for the headlight switch and the wires from it. Is this normal and where can I find a good connector? Every junker I have found either was missing the connector or it too was melted and deformed. Can I splice other wires after separating and removing the melted wires? What likely caused all this?? All help, pictures, and leads would be appreciated. IS THERE ANYONE WHO ACTUALLY SELLS THESE CONNECTORS AND WIRING???
