It appears that both the Temperature and Fuel gauges may be reading higher than they should on this car. I've suspected the fuel gauge for some time, and just put in a new 88°C thermostat, yet still see the needle a lot higher than the usual "9:00 o'clock" position. Being an '80 model, it has the old can-type VR.
I know the VR can cause low/no readings on these two gauges.
But could it possibly be causing false high readings?
Next chance I have, I'll see if it's output is over 10 volts.
But in the meantime, I thought I'd poll the Board here.
