Help for a newbie 200 1990

If anyone can help, I would appreciate any input.

I just bought a 90 240DL to join my 93 850, and don't yet have any manuals, so I could use some info.

1. The prior owner worked on/messed up the tail lights. Everything works properly except for the brake lights, including center mount. I want to make sure that all the bulb sockets are in the right places. The white one is on the right side, which I believe is correct. The left side is the light that does not light up when the brakes are applied (but does light when the lights are on). For some reason, there are two black wires coming out of the harness which are soldered together, but then continue on and are each inserted into different holes in the plug on the assembly. I noticed the slots are numbered. Can anyone give me a breakdown on what wires come out of the harness and into which number slot on the plug they terminate for the left and right side lenses? I haven't yet checked if the center mount is merely a bad bulb....

2. I would like to replace the speakers in the doors, and have given them some good tugs, but they don't budge. Do I need to pry them off in a certain way or just apply more pressure...would like to keep those covers on rather than replace, so don't want to break them unnecessarily. They are Volvo HT-204, if that helps.

3. I have been very impressed with a Bentley manual I use for my 71 VW Fastback, but some Haynes sections have better photos, so I have both. What do you suggest regarding reference materials for the 240?

Thanks in advance for any info.
