At the suggestion of a fellow lister I am re-submitting my previous message with the suggested addition of the info on the axle decal, in the hope that someone can cross-reference this info to help me identify what Type of differential is in my 245. It should either be a Type 1030 or Type 1031 according to the service manual. I found the decal on the axle but it only has the ratio (3.73), the no. NR 1216105 and FABR NR 128485. Is there some other identification on the unit itself?

I have checked with my local Volvo dealer as well as an independent Volvo specialist with no results. Thanks again in advance.
