No Start/Roll in Park 900 1993

Thanks for any input in advance to my question about my 1993 960!! This 960 has 142k on and is in pretty good shape until today. Took a trip earlier in the week without any problems-Made the destination, and ran various side-trips. On Friday morning went to start the car and nothing happens- The instrument panel lights up, brake lights work, headlights work, no fuses are blown. You can move the gear shift, and to make it even more complicated the car will even roll when it's in park! I have had a ton of folks tell me what they think it could be but wanted to post it on this forum to get a better idea.
