Cleaning fuel distributor 200

Anybody have any thoughts on trying to back flush fuel distributor on an 81 245. I think that the fuel distributor is gummed up. Ive got good pressure beyond the fuel filter. Can I back flush the the fuel distributor by pulling one of the injector lines and trying to use some air pressure to clear it. Thanks for any help.
