Recently I had to put on two new tires.
Actually just one, hit a hard-jolt-something on the freeway and the tire was slow leaking all the way home, flat in the drivewy. Used my cigar-lighter air pump (vital part of emergency kit) to pump up and scoot over to my tire place, Discount tires.
Found that the tire was shot, crunched sidewalls. Thus the two tire purchase. Now the (new) rear tires are the stock size 195/65-R15 and the (old) fronts are
195/60-R15.
I have warned the wife (car is the wifemobile) that reading of 70mph is now 70mph, not 67 mph as before. She enjoyed having a "buffer zone".
My question is this: I see that a 205/60-R15 will give a very small speedo error, and also give the 60 aspect ratio level of control. When I replace the last of the old tires, I will consider the 205 size. Have you ever run them on a 965?
Thanks in advance,
Bob
