Hey guys, I have a problem with the main fuel pump fuse blowing right as I turn the key. I saw that there is some melting on the relay connector, and I removed the yellow wire from the fuel pump and the fuse kept blowing. It seems to be a short in the relay but I cant find it.
My first question, is there any way to diagnose a short in the relay? I checked all the terminals with my ohmmeter and nothing showed up. I opened the relay up and eyed it as well and there is nothing obvious.
Secondly, is it possible that the fuel pump pulling too many amps caused the relay to short out? I would think that the fuse would blow before doing damage to the relay.
