On the 140 sedan, the tail pipe has a weird hanger. Mine has rusted off. For the car's state inspection tomorrow, I'd like to put on something aftermarket that will help the car pass.

Any ideas?

The configuration begins with holders for two rubber hangers (donuts) to be held in a horizintal position parrallel to the floor and opposed to each other. The hanger attatches between these. To complicate things, the tailpipe is a couple of inches inboard of the donuts and about 4 inches below the floor.

IOW, there is no direct attatchment possibility, as there is no attatchment point above the tailpipe. And no aftermarket hangers I know of, which would use the donuts, as presented.
