A week or two ago there was a post asking about a sourse for R-12. In looking for parts for my new MB 240D, I found this site, and noticed he has a R-12 replacement kit for old MB's, which I would think would work just as well on Volvos.

There was not a direct link to the kits, and if this link does not get you to close to the right spot....look under MB parts.
