Intermittent Stalling, hot and cold 900

i ran into my friend's wife today and she told me their 1994 9XX turbo was stalling every so often. i will try to fill in the car's specifics when i look at it tomorrow. the stalling was happening when the car is hot and cold.

they said it stopped for a month or so and then it happened a couple times last week. from she told me it takes a couple minutes before it restarts. also the horn stopped working for a while.

i am pretty familiar with '89 740GL but i don't know what to expect from their 9XX. i just wanted to know what i should rule out first before they resolve to take it to a mechanic. thanks
