Hi everyone:

The tan leather seats in my recently aquired 744 are in rough shape making an otherwise clean car look a bit ratty. Has anyone tried aftermarket cloth seat covers? IPD makes some for the front (a bit pricey too), but I would like to get a complete set that fit well. The cheapie universal set that I put on the front is not cutting it...

There are companies that are on line that make "custom" cloth seat covers, but I would like to see if anyone else has gone this route first if possible.

I have also considered a leather restoration/repair kit, but I think these seats are pretty far gone for that.

I have been looking for a set of used cloth seats on Ebay, but no tan ones have appeared, and the others that I have seen aren't cheap and cost a fortune to ship.

Any thoughts on similar experiences/solutions?
