Drive shaft noise 700 1987

I read the FAQ on the the drive shaft noises and I have one that is not described in there. It started off with a single metallic 'ding' (like hitting a metal post with a wrench) after backing out from a parking spot and changing from reverse into drive and applying gas. after a few weeks it turned into more of a single metallic 'clank'

no other strange noises, and btw it's an Automatic.
