Just replaced center support bearing, still same noise, what else? 200 1992

I just replaced the center support bearing but this did not fix the whining noise. There is no viration. It starts out low pitched and increases in pitch as speed increases. When put in neutral, the noise continues. The u-joints appeared okay when I checked them. We have at least 230,000 miles, (odometer comes and goes)on this wagon.

We replaced the differential on a 93 240 sedan, but this noise is not the same as that.

Do you all have thoughts on what to check next? Thank you for any suggestions you have.
